DIVE COMPUTERS
Low Bubbling Computers

Smart Com

The Smart COM is an air integrated computer that provides the diver with advanced warning of the air requirements that are necessary to complete
an ascent and any decompression stops.
And because it monitors the diver's breathing and changes in the rate of breathing,
the Smart COM can adjust the diver's decompression status according to the workload.

If a diver is working hard underwater, then the Smart COM, anticipates that the diver may "in gas" additional nitrogen, and may ask the diver to compensate for this by doing an extra decompression stop.
The Smart COM is Nitrox compatible and it includes a Nitrox dive planner.
The Smart COM also features microbubble suppression. With this feature divers are now able to select any one of 5 different levels of suppression, to minimise microbubble formation that can occur from repetitive diving that may result from having a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO). Microbubble Suppression, reduces the long term soft tissue damage that can occur from constant exposure to microbubbles.

Smart Pro

The Smart PRO is a decompression diving computer that allows divers to plan and conduct decompression dives whether they are breathing Air or Nitrox.
Now, for the dive professional the Smart PRO has an additional feature: microbubble suppression.
With this feature divers are now able to select any one of 5 different levels of suppression, to minimise microbubble formation that can occur from repetitive diving or that may result from having a Patent Foramen Ovale (PFO).
This reduces the long term soft tissue damage that can occur from constant exposure to microbubbles.
The Smart PRO also includes the Bühlman ZH L8 ADT MB (adaptive) algorithm which considers actual diver behaviour.
The effects of diving in cold water, decompression and ascent rate violations are all considered and if required the computer may recommend a revised decompression schedule.
For example, missing a decompression stop prior to terminating the dive may result in a diver being asked to complete a new decompression stop at a greater depth.
When the dive is completed, the Smart PRO's infra red technology can transmit dive profile information to a personal computer.
This allows further analysis of the dive information with Uwatec SmartTrak software

Hoseless Wrist Dive Computers

Aladin Air2

The Aladin Air-Z is a wrist-mounted, interactive dive computer with a remote tank mounted transmitter.
The Air-Z uses the adaptive decompression model developedby Professor Bühlmann in conjunction with Uwatec AG.
Until the application of this model in the Aladin Air-Z, many of the diver's physiological processes hadn't been considered by dive computers.
Now it has become possible to specify a decompression parameter based on behavioral and environmental conditions of the diver.
For normal dives (without high risk situations), the decompression data is no more conservative than conventional dive computers.
With the Aladin Air-Z, if a diver gets into a high risk situation, then an update of the decompression model may be necessary, perhaps giving the diver a brief decompression stop.
In order to do this the Aladin Air-Z constantly monitors environmental conditions, like water temperature.
It also monitors behavior, such as actual ascent rates, repetitive dives, diver workloads and breathing rates in the adaptive Bühlmann model to maximize your diving pleasure.

Aladin Air2 O2

The Air Z o2 is an adaptive computer that can be used in conjunction with conventional open circuit scuba or a Semi Closed Rebreather (SCR).
When it is used with a SCR in conjunction with the oxy2, the Air Z o2 provides the SCR diver with the data required in real time to monitor on line,
the actual gas composition being breathed.
This is important as actual O2 usage depends on the diver’s metabolism.
High workloads require a higher supply of O2 than light workloads.
So, the actual gas mixture in the rebreather depends on the premixed gas, selected flow and the diver’s O2 consumption (workload).
Without a reliable measuring device, the diver has to rely on an estimated gas mix.
Now, he knows the actual O2 fraction in the gas mix that he is breathing and the exact partial pressure of O2.
With reliable O2 measurement and appropriate warnings, it’s possible to optimize SCR gasflow to improve the performance and subsequent bottom time.

Aladin Air2 Nitrox

The Aladin Air Z Nitrox has an oxygen clock that monitors O2 toxicity.
This computer also allows you to dive on normal air at 21% O2, or dive on a level of O2 from 22% to 50%.
And as a PC is not required to change the O2 mixture, you can dive on different mixtures during the day.
Your bottom times are simply recalculated whenever you change the Nitrox mixture.
The Aladin Air Z Nitrox computer allows the maximum operating partial pressure of O2 to be programmed by a PC.
The Aladin Air Z Nitrox has the added benefit of monitoring and estimating the diver's gas consumption and readjusting the O2 uptake according to workload.
The Aladin Air Z Nitrox includes a decompression dive planner that allows you to plan your dives in advance.
It's possible to dive on air in the morning and Nitrox in the afternoon, with the flexibility to optimise the gas mix, the surface interval to extend the bottom time.

Wrist Dive Computers

Aladin Pro Ultra

The Aladin Pro Ultra has an oxygen clock that keeps an eye on O2 toxicity.

The Aladin Pro Ultra computer allows the maximum operating partial pressure of O2 to be programmed by a PC.
The Aladin Pro Ultra is only recommended for divers who are qualified to dive with Nitrox.
Now, divers can enjoy the extended bottom times of Nitrox diving, without all the complicated calculations.

Aladin Sport Plus

Sharing many of the features of the Aladin Pro, the Aladin Sport Plus is a multi-level dive computer that is designed for recreational divers.
The Aladin Sport Plus also introduces the benefits of ZH-L8ADT adaptive Bühlmann algorithm (in all Uwatec Aladin dive computers)
which modifies your decompression schedule according to actual dive behavior.
To maximize your no decompression limit, it includes a variable ascent rate that allows faster ascent at depth, with slower ascents nearer the surface.
The Aladin Sport Plus is very popular among divers who wish to avoid any decompression stops.
But should the need occur, the Aladin Sport Plus will show the diver exactly when to stop and when to continue with your ascent.
The Aladin Sport Plus continuously displays the no decompression stop time as well as your current depth, maximum depth and elapsed dive time.
The Aladin Sport Plus even warns if you are ascending too fast for the allowable ascent rate, at any given depth.
To keep everything as clear as possible, the Aladin Sport Plus displays the important information as the diver needs it.
This makes the Uwatec Aladin Sport Plus the ideal dive computer for novice and experienced recreational divers.

Aladin Pro

When the Aladin Pro was launched by Uwatec in the 1980s, it fast became a very popular dive computer among divers that enjoy decompression diving.
Now, the Aladin Pro brings the benefits of the unique adaptive Bühlmann model to the decompression diver.
The Aladin Pro modifies your decompression schedule according to a number of factors such as cold water dives, varying ascent rates and repetitive dives.
For example, if a diver continually exceeds the ascent rate at any given depth, the diver may be advised to complete a decompression stop.
With the Aladin Pro you can also plan your maximum depth on your next dive, your surface interval, and it displays your decompression schedule.
As well, the Aladin Pro incorporates a visual and acoustic warning system that keeps you informed of your decompression status.
To keep everything as clear as possible the Aladin Pro displays only essential information as you need it.
As with all Aladin dive computers, the Aladin Pro operates continuously, monitoring any changes in altitude, including any air travel.
So, while the Aladin Pro is calculating, you can continue to dive with confidence.

Aladin Pro Nitrox

The Aladin Pro Nitrox has an oxygen clock that keeps an eye on O2 toxicity.
The Aladin Pro Nitrox computer allows the maximum operating partial pressure of O2 to be programmed by a PC.
The Aladin Pro Nitrox is only recommended for divers who are qualified to dive with Nitrox.
Now, divers can enjoy the extended bottom times of Nitrox diving, without all the complicated calculations.

Digital

The Uwatec Digital gauge is a very practical instrument that incorporates state-of-the-art micro-chip technology, at an extremely affordable price.
Using experience gained during the development and subsequent usage of the Aladin series of computers,
the same Uwatec engineers and electronic technicians managed to compile an enormous amount of data into this compact information center.
Not only does the digital perform as a precision depth gauge, it can also display maximum depth, elapsed dive time, ascent rate
(displayed as a percentage of the allowable ascent rate for any given depth) and water temperature. If you do ascend too quickly, it will advise you to slow down.
And when you are on the surface it provides a record of the pertinent data from your last nine dives.
In surface mode it continues to display the surface interval and temperature from your last dive until you make another dive or until 24 hours have elapsed.
Like the Aladin computers, the Digital turns itself on automatically when it is immersed.
For the novice diver the Digital instrument is a precision bottom timer that displays the essential information that’s required for the calculation of the dive.
For divers who require additional redundancy built into their dive planning, the Uwatec Digital is ideal as a backup instrument.

Aladin Air

The Aladin Air has the same adaptive decompression model that's used in the Aladin Air Z.
The Aladin Air monitors gas saturation in your body based on your personal behavior and diving environment.
For example, microbubble build up can result from doing multiple ascents in rescue training.
Alternatively, multiple dives on liveaboard boats over a few days can cause microbubble build up.
In both these situations the Aladin Air considers your actual diving behavior and if necessary, recommends that you complete a short decompression stop.
It will tell you exactly what depth and length of time to stop, having already predicted the amount of air that you need to complete the stop.
The Aladin Air includes other features such as a dive planner which allows you to preplan your next dive and a surface interval.
The Aladin Air is downloadable to DataTrak.
The Aladin Air console has an ingenious quick disconnect system making it effortless to remove from the high pressure hose.
This allows the diver to remove the computer from the regulator for easy downloading to a laptop, palmtop or PC.
This also makes it much more convenient to secure and care for your dive computer
